walking alone

~ it was five year ago yesterday

For fourteen years my morning walks were Gusta walks ~ the 12 lb. pup, the many times that people told me the behaviour would calm at age 2, as if they’d read that somewhere, but only in her last year, with her weight back under 60 lbs. after all that pulling power when she was over 80 lbs. … a nose, a spirit, and a tail.

Gusta never exhibited hostility…
